Annual Baby Food Drive

for Project Hospitality

When we say we are hungry, we usually mean that we have an appetitie. The hunger we are talking about here doesn not come and go like an appetitie - it is a consuming, minute-by-minute, day after day, painful experience. It lowers one's ability to fight disease and can cause permanent damage to the mind and body. If hunger persists, it will cause death.

According to a Project Hospitality Quiz:

760,000 children in New York City are living in poverty

8,000 children in New York City are homeless and living in shelters

34,000 children in the world die every day from causes related to hunger

We are collecting ONLY baby food, formula, juices, strained and jr jat meats, vegetables, fruit, cereal and diapers (All Sizes). Last year we collected approximately $3,000 worth of baby items, and donted a check for $300 to Project Hospitality. We encourage you to help us fill the church every Sunday to overflowing.

On Sunday, October 30, 2011, we will culminate the drive with our "One Great Hour Of Sharing" service at which time all donated items will be presented.
